By the grace of Allah the al Zahra Centre Phase 1 works were successfully completed in 2009, which is helping the Jamaat generate revenue for the daily maintenance of the Centre. The Anjuman-e-Ja’fariyya S.I.M.C of Watford are now embarking on the Phase 2 works, to commence in early 2011, which will lead to the much needed construction of a new extension to the existing building.

The key benefits of the Phase 2 works are as follow :-

• The works will deliver further enhancements to the al Zahra Centre in the form of achieving the Islamic outlook of the existing building;
• Importantly, the works will increase the capacity of the Centre to meet the community requirements over the next 25 years;
• The Phase 2 works will open up the opportunity to achieve maximum utilisation of the Centre;
• The Cost Plan for the Phase 2 is initially estimated to be £263k

The al Zahra Centre Needs your Support

The Watford Jamaat is in need of support in helping to raise funds for the Phase 2 works of our Capital Project Development Plan (CPDP). The fund raising launch is already underway within the Watford community and we are sincerely hoping that other Jamaats and individuals will support us in this noble cause.

The Watford building Project carries COEJ and WF approval to receive donations towards the Building Project and the Jamaat is itself a registered charity.
